 CLOT-ED
was founded and incorporated in 2003 by Marlies Ledford-Kraemer. With
increasing complexity in medicine, the intent of this site is to simplify
and demystify the areas relating to bleeding and clotting disorders.
To that end our mission is to educate healthcare providers with an
interest in coagulation, fibrinolysis, and thrombosis by providing
practical and concise information relating to these areas in order
to improve the quality of medical care for their patients with bleeding
and clotting disorders. A parallel mission is to serve as an educational
forum for these patients in order for them to learn more about their
conditions. Our missions should aid us in fulfilling our vision: to
become a premier internet based educational resource devoted to providing
collated, concise, and current information in the fields of Hemostasis
and Thrombosis and to do so with creativity and excellence. |

| In order to provide educational material in a strictly objective
light, CLOT-ED, Inc receives no financial support from commercial
entities such as diagnostic or pharmaceutical companies nor from non-commercial
organizations. Moreover we do not offer or accept advertising. CLOT-ED,
Inc is privately owned and funded by Marlies Ledford-Kraemer. |

| All material presented on this site is written by Marlies Ledford-Kraemer
unless otherwise noted. Ms Ledford-Kraemer holds a Master of Business
Administration (MBA) degree and a Bachelor of Science degree. She
is also a certified & licensed Medical Technologist with more than
30 years of experience in clinical laboratory settings. Authorship
of any material not written by Ms Ledford-Kraemer is attributed to
the contributor of the information with the exception of the Patient
Stories section found on the Patients portion of the website. This
has been done to protect the privacy of those patient contributors.
